The Opportunity:
The Inventor Relations team, as Mattel's outward-facing representatives, plays a crucial role in building external strategic partnerships to enhance connections with the toy and game inventor community. Our mission is to seek out innovation. As a Project Administrator, you will be an essential part of this team, facilitating the harvesting and shepherding of exterior submissions to fuel Mattel's global innovation pipeline. Your role will be instrumental in supporting our El Segundo Campus.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Provide support to internal design teams and external clients
  • Track items across various campuses, including FP, Mega, and Mattel
  • Onboard and vet incoming inventors for both FP and Mattel to keep the external pipeline active and fresh
  • Report Management- track hold budgets, licensing agreements, model submissions, inventor portal updates, for Mattel and FP products
  • Run reports and collect data on forecasts, volume quotas, submission counts, etc.
  • Maintain contact and banking info weekly, as well as process and track check payments
  • Shipping, receiving, and tracking of physical products from inventors
  • Partner with meeting planning and trade show services for more extensive Inventor and Innovation events like Toy Fair and MCONN to keep track of deadlines for deliverables and manage event coordination
  • Archive licensed products to ensure we have a record of our history
  • Assist with Innovation and Ideation Sprints for Innovation Programs
  • Manage external innovation subscriptions with external partners like Women in Toys, Mojo Nation, etc.
  • Support team with calendar scheduling, booking travel, and other departmental duties.

What We're Looking For:

  • 2 years of experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have an extremely high attention to detail and a sense of urgency
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel in particular & PowerPoint)
  • Ability to positively build and maintain relationships across the organization
  • Be a trusted and loyal partner; able to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player and be the liaison between many teams
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Positive and outgoing spirit
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work
  • Forward-thinker, able to see improvements to processes and share with others
  • Experienced in corporate event planning is preferred

The base hourly rate for this position is between$27.50 and $43.75.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base hourly rate will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills and experience.
