Matthew 25 Health and Care is Hiring an Office Manager/Human Resources Manager Near Fort Wayne, IN

Company Overview

Our Mission: We are inspired by the Gospel to provide free primary healthcare services to the uninsured, low-income residents of Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio.

Matthew 25 is the only full-time healthcare center in Allen County offering medical, dental, vision, mental health counseling, and prescription services at no cost to qualified patients. Matthew 25 is a volunteer driven health practice that has hundreds of volunteers including physicians, dentists, nurses, front desk personnel, students and other lay volunteers. There are just over 30 staff members.

Matthew 25 receives no governmental monies and depends entirely on gifts from individuals, churches, organizations, and corporations, as well as grants from foundations.

Job Information

Position Title: Human Resource / Practice Manager

Department: Administration

Reports to: CEO

Job Summary

Oversees daily functions of HR including all aspects of the hiring process, administering benefits, payroll, developing and enforcing policies, and managing personnel issues.

Supervisory Responsibilities

* Recruits, interviews, hires and trains new employees on company policies and procedures.

* Organizes and oversees schedules and assignments of employees.

* Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.

* Respond to internal and external HR inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.

* Perform timely performance evaluations.

* Manages employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations

Duties/Responsibilities or Essential Functions

* Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies and procedures related to human resources.

* Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

* Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

* Implements new hire orientation and training as well as employee recognition programs.

* Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the company’s mission and strategic vision while achieving overall organizational objectives.

* Develops and implements employee engagement opportunities to aid in retention and a great workplace culture.

* Facilitates meetings with leadership.

* Organizes and facilitate all-staff meetings.

* Supplies leadership with advice and guidance when dealing with disputes.

* Aids leadership with and attends all disciplinary meetings.

* Update and maintain employee records.

* Verifies and tracks attendance and Paid Time Off in accordance with the organization’s policy.

* Verifies all electronic time sheets have been approved by their supervisor.

* Aid in processing payroll every other week.

* Regularly reviews and updates HR policies and the employee handbook.

* Administers benefits such as insurance, worker’s comp, cobra.

* Creates and provides all fiscal year end reports for auditing purposes.

* Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management and employment law.

* Supervises and works with department leaders to make necessary changes to resolve departmental issues and implement policy and procedural changes to ensure efficiency within all departments.

* Ensures work environments are adequate and safe.

* Learn practice processes and procedures in order to perform daily tasks and fill in at the front desk, medication room or other departments as needed.

* Works closely with all department staff and leads to ensure processes are flowing smoothing across all departments.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

· Extensive professional experience in human resource, management preferred, roles

· Bachelor’s degree or extensive experience in human resources, business, administration, or related field

Physical Requirements

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds

· Must be able to navigate various departments within the physical premises of the organization

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
