Job Title: AUTOMOTIVE GENERAL MANAGER

Reports to: Chief Operation Officer, President

Type: Exempt

Essential Job Duties:

The essential job duties referenced above are important for the job to be accomplished. Other job duties may be required.

• Recruit, hire, train, and oversee a team of automotive sales, service, and office personnel.
• Coach management on best practices and provide advice and guidance to improve sales performance and service results
• Set sales goals, track progress, and lead team to achieve and exceed those quotas
• Forecast sales for upcoming months and quarters and compile the necessary reports for dealership management to review
• Focus on any customer complaints that department managers are unable to rectify and take the necessary steps to resolve these complaints
• Maintain an enthusiastic attitude to build positive employee attitudes and morale
• Maintain a strong focus on satisfaction of all customers
• Ensure that all employees follow their assigned work schedules and adhere to the absenteeism, reporting and tardiness policy
• Provide dealership management with weekly reports on the financial condition of the dealership
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors
• Participate and keep up to date with on the job training and continuing education required by Manufacturers, Vendors and other outside sources as requested by Management

Desired Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED required
• Bachelor’s degree or 3 years experience
• Extensive knowledge of automotive industry and parts
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate well with mechanics, customers and managements
• Willingness to participate in in-house and outside training

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $200,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
