Position: Medical Assistant (Back Office)

As a Medical Assistant at MIH, you will play a crucial role in delivering personalized care and supporting our full body approach to healing. We seek an individual with strong IV/venipuncture skills, IV Certification, and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Most importantly, at MIH, we treat people as individuals with unique needs, not just patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain patient exam rooms, washrooms, Infrared Sauna room, IV rooms, and nursing station.
• Assist patients with nutritional items (power protein smoothies, bone broth, etc.).
• Provide comfort tools to patients (washroom, blankets, pillows, hot water bottle, etc.).
• Manage and maintain back office medical supplies and food inventory.
• Record patient intake, including vital signs.
• Prepare, assist, execute, and manage lab draws, blood sample collection, and appropriate preparation for transfer to main laboratories.
• Perform IV Infusion Insertion under Dr. Matzinger's direction.
• Follow up on patient lab reports and relay findings to patients under Dr. Matzinger's direction.
• Report patient status to Dr. Matzinger.
• Open and close nursing area, including cleaning procedures.
• Enforce COVID-19 Office Protocols.
• Perform additional duties within the scope of Medical Assistant Certification.

Experience/Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate
• Current unrestricted certification as a Medical Assistant in Nevada
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Demonstrated strong IV/venipuncture skills
• Certificate in IV Therapy for Medical Assistants
