Qualifications:
? Valid TN teacher's license with appropriate endorsement
? At least five years of successful teaching experience
? An understanding of classroom management, lesson planning, instructional delivery, small group
instruction, intervention strategies, and foundational skills and grade level standards for English
Language Arts

Job Overview: Provide supplemental academic efforts through small group instruction using targeted
interventions for at risk students with identified deficit areas.

Job Functions:
? Plan and coordinate new teacher mentoring activities throughout the school year;
? Provide coaching opportunities for mentees and mentors throughout the year;
? Arrange mentor-training sessions;
? Complete coaching cycles with new teachers at EA Cox Middle School;
? Share resources for professional development opportunities;
? Attend professional learning opportunities for coaching;
? Participates in staff development;
? Address the challenges/concerns presented by the building administrator and/or mentors
? Performs other duties as may be assigned by principal or Office of Teaching, Learning, and
Assessment.
