Our Client is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer, that will be project-focused, working both independently and with a team. This candidate will be primarily focused on FortiNet design and implementation and should be familiar with and have experience with each of the features listed below. Ideally, this candidate has a broad skill set within the security space and flexible enough to learn and implement complementary solutions.

What You ll Do:

• Spearhead the design and deployment of comprehensive network security solutions using FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiClient EMS, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiAuthenticator, FortiExtender, FortiNAC, FortiDeceptor, FortiWeb, FortiMail, FortiADC and FortiSASE.
• Deploy Fortinet SD-WAN & SD-Branch solutions requiring deep knowledge of advanced routing & switching protocols.
• Perform firewall migrations utilizing Fortinet products requiring knowledge of content filtering, Active Directory & Entra ID integration.
• Perform Best Practice Assessments.
• Resolve issues through troubleshooting and inspection of infrastructure.
• Maintain complete technical documentation.
• Assist with improvements to the firewall, network performance, capacity, and scalability.
• Assist with pre-sales activities such as determining the level of effort for new engagements.

What You ll Need:

• Expertise in FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiClient EMS, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiAuthenticator, FortiExtender, FortiNAC, FortiDeceptor, FortiWeb, FortiMail, FortiADC and FortiSASE.
• Knowledge of routing & switching protocols, layer-7 content inspection, IDS/IPS, Antivirus & VPNs.
• Solid understanding of the following protocols: RADIUS, PKI, IKE, SAML, LDAP
• Expertise with encryption & authentication protocols.
• Expertise in deploying Fortinet SD-WAN in large environments.
• Expertise in migrating from vendors such as Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco, and Sonicwall to Fortinet.
• Strong troubleshooting & analytical skills.
• Strong communication & collaboration abilities.
• Strong understanding of OSI model.

Experience:

• Fortinet Certified Security Specialist (FCSS)
• FortiManager/FortiOS: 5 years
• Fortinet SD-WAN: 5 years
• BGP and OSPF routing in FortiOS: 5 years
• FortiGate/FortiManager in a large (100 firewalls) environment: 5 years
