Maverik is Hiring an Equipment Specialist Near SALT LAKE CITY, UT

If you're mechanically inclined and experienced in troubleshooting equipment, and you're eager to contribute to our team as an Equipment Specialist, apply now! In this role, you'll diagnose and resolve equipment issues over the phone, maintain accurate service records, and assist in developing new SOPs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide troubleshooting support to resolve basic equipment issues over the phone by checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary
  • Resolve maintenance service problems by clarifying issues, researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions, implementing solutions, and escalating unresolved problems to the appropriate maintenance technician or service provider
  • Maintain service ticketing system by entering accurate and complete information, including logging and tracking all customer requests
  • Provide reports on cases successfully resolved through troubleshooting efforts verse those requests requiring further referral for resolution
  • Assist in the development of new SOP’s as required and/or directed
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
    • Adheres to all company policies and procedures

Qualifications: Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of related experience in electrical automation preferred

Qualifications: Experience

  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role preferred
  • Experience with maintenance ticketing systems (ServiceNow) preferred
  • Knowledge of petroleum fuel systems, plumbing, electrical, understanding, and Basic knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration, and electrical management systems, preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including strong listening skills
  • Practice operating independently without the need for continuous oversight or direction
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and balance competing needs
  • A history of taking the initiative to identify and solve work-related problems
  • Experience in exercising initiative and sound judgment in decision-making
