Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide essential support to patients and assist with their daily activities. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients.
Duties:
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Collect specimens for laboratory testing
- Assist with medical procedures under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as eClinicalWorks
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
- Assist in the implementation of care plans developed by the nursing team
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant program
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Experience with medical documentation and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Ability to lift and move patients safely
- Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME)
- Understanding of behavioral health principles and techniques is a plus
- Experience in hospice care is preferred
