• GIS Databases Architecture and Management ✓ Designs databases that leverage GIS-only data types – networks, topology, relationship classes, utility networks, etc. ✓ Designs database to include ArcGIS-native organizational configurations – domains, subtypes, etc. ✓ Design data and databases following GIS data standards ✓ Manages ArcGIS SDE ✓ Deploys and manages ArcGIS data versioning and branching ✓ Manages granting and revoking data permissions

Responsibilities: Responsibilities: We are seeking a skilled GIS Database Architect to join our team. As a GIS Database Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining GIS databases to support spatial data management and analysis activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), database design, and spatial data management.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining the GIS data environment for enterprise data.

• Redesigning and optimising existing GIS databases

• Creating, implementing, and documenting data standards

• Managing Esri ArcGIS Enterprise GIS Databases within the SQL Server environment.

• Develop data models and database schemas to support spatial data analysis and visualization.

• Optimize database performance for spatial queries and data processing tasks.

• Collaborate with GIS analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and design appropriate database solutions.

• Perform data quality assurance and validation to ensure the accuracy and consistency of spatial data.

• Document database designs, data models, and data workflows for reference and training purposes.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
