Accounts Payable Analyst

Put your career into high gear with Mavis Discount Tire! We're looking for a full time Accounts Payable Analyst to join Team Mavis at our Operations Support Center in White Plains, NY. With over 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States, and we’re growing rapidly.

About the Position of Accounts Payable Analyst

The Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for reviewing statements, invoices and reviewing monthly expenses for all our vendors. The job of an A/P Analyst is to ensure all bills are paid on time and accurately.

Qualifications

• be at least 18 years of age.
• be legally authorized to work in the United States;
• have phone skills to be able to work with vendors as well as internal staff from other departments.
• Must have moderate to advanced skills with Excel.
• Knowledge of Macro’s is a plus.
• 2 years of experience with accounts payable and statement reconciliation preferred.
• Must be self-motivated, organized, and dependable.

Requirements

• Review invoices and credits that are entered into our system to ensure the correct coding and authorization exist.

Reconciliation of several large statements both weekly and monthly.

Prepare payments for large vendors based on statements as well as ensuring discounts are taken timely.

• Handle incoming phone calls from vendors and internal departments.
• Creating accurate daily, weekly and monthly payment proposals with discount information available.
• Communicate missing invoice lists with respective departments to ensure payments are made on time and in full.
• Complete ad-hoc vendor audits
