Maxar is seeking multiple Geospatial Analysts to join our team. In this role you will join a talented team of cross functional analysts bringing spatial context and extracting insight from multiple data streams in order to discern patterns and identify events of interest.
Your Project: We are a growing team of intelligence professionals, data scientists, and engineers analyzing large-scale data sets and developing innovative analytic techniques and methods to fuse various data sources together and extract findings critical to the intelligence and defense communities. You will analyze the outputs of these methods to deliver insights to the customer, develop and pitch new analytic methodologies and algorithms, and provide feedback on the process to increase the quality of the outputs.
You will collaborate with the team to develop innovative statistical and geospatial workflows and automate them to deliver insights to the customer. This will entail large-scale data manipulation to identify trends, anomalies, and other insights. You will have the opportunity to regularly pitch your ideas to decision makers as well as develop new skills and analytic methodologies.

Day-to-Day with your Colleagues:

• Utilize Python and relevant libraries for spatial analytics
• Undertake statistical analyses to enhance data processing, manipulate large scale data sets, and provide analytic insights.
• Engage in a collaborative environment with your peers to share expertise and develop innovative concepts.
• Work closely with the customer and team lead on quick-turn RFIs to decision makers.
• Learn new methodologies and skillsets on the job that can contribute to the mission.
• Engage with the wider Maxar community to learn about Maxar products and projects that may be applicable to the mission area.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Mathematics, International Affairs, etc.)

• Experience with Python, including relevant libraries such as Pandas, SciPy, Geopandas, Dask, and/or Spatialpandas.
• Strong understanding of spatial data and analytics
• Must hold a current TS clearance and be willing and able to obtain CI polygraph

Nice to Have or Willing to Learn:

• Functional knowledge of SQL, ElasticSearch and/or PySpark.

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:
$130,000.00 - $218,000.00 annually.
