Job Description: An Assembler II thrives on challenge and continually looks for opportunities to learn and grow. This colleague ensures parts meet surface finish requirements to support the production team.

Job Title: Assembler-II

Job Type: 6 months

Job Location: Hillsboro, OR

Work Schedule: Onsite

Pay Rate: $24.20 - $33.00 Hourly

What will you do?

• Complete polish work applying prescribed methods/work instructions using a variety of hand tools, fixtures, lathes and other polish equipment.

• Use databases and other office programs to document the polish process

• Participate in resolving production challenges and making process decisions

• Perform troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues

• Perform equipment set-up, calibration and preventative maintenance

• Follow audit and safety guidelines

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

• 3 year of manufacturing or machine shop experience required.

• Background in precision mechanical assembly and low volume, complex manufacturing processes preferred.

• Experience in lean manufacturing, 6S and continuous improvement a plus.

• Experience with Windows-based and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook and Access)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Proven ability in successfully working in a Team of 1-5 colleagues

• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment using appropriate PPE

• Ability to analyze and solve problems independently as well as collaboratively

• Ability to support projects and work productively as part of cohesive teams

• Self-motivated, self-starter with strong organizational skills

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, successful in partnering with colleagues of differing cultural, language and educational backgrounds
