Job Description:

Job Title: Data Analyst

Job Type: Contract (6 months)

Job Location: Livermore, CA onsite

Work Schedule: Onsite 5 days a week

Pay Rate: C2C self max rate is $70/hr, W2 max rate is $62/hr W2

Responsibilities:

Important Notes –

• They are migrating from Fiserv to a new platform and will need to validate the data. There are many integrations, they should be able to check the data is correct for everything going into the new system.
• Any software like Fiserv and Q2 can work, such as FIS, please see if any other alternatives candidates might have.
• They should have worked with banks before.

Skills :

• At least 5 years of experience in data migration and data testing
• Experience in data quality assessment
• Must have done data migration across platforms/ systems
• Banking experience is a big plus

Responsibilities

• Lead the migration efforts from legacy system to new modernize system
• Gather and thoroughly document business rules related to data migration projects.
• planning, data assessment, cleansing, and mapping to ensure compatibility with the new system setting up validation and auditing processes to maintain data integrity post-migration
• Perform necessary testing of the migration process, including creating and executing Unit test scripts, managing test scenarios, analyzing test results, and debugging issues
• Define comprehensive data quality rules to ensure the accuracy and integrity of migrated data
• Conduct data quality profiling and assessment testing to identify potential issues and discrepancies.
• Execute data cleansing activities to address data inconsistencies and inaccuracies.
• Track and manage complicated data cleansing processes to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Create and execute data queries to identify coding issues and data exceptions.
• .Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective data migration strategies
• Stay updated on leading practice data frameworks and incorporate best practices into data migration processes
• Provide regular updates on the migration progress to all project stakeholders including immediate managers, technical leads, developers, and business analysts
• Prepare and deliver presentations and updates to both internal and external audiences to explain the migration process, system functionality, and technical challenges
• Facilitate the smooth transition to the new system by providing strategic oversight and support post-migration
• This includes training end-users, preparing comprehensive system documentation, and recommending strategies for optimizing system performance based on feedback and performance metrics

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with banking software such as Fiserv, FIS, Q2, etc are a big plus
• Ability to write SQL queries
• Technical writing skills
• Coding skills in languages such as Python and SQL
• Experience with statistical software
• Data visualization and reporting skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to set and meet deadlines
• Ability to work in high-pressure situations
• Attention to detail
