As part of the Talent team for Perma Pure Group (Perma Pure/Maxtec), the HR Generalist is responsible for guiding all talent processes and programs in partnership with the Talent & Process Manager, which includes, but not limited to; talent management, employee relations, recruitment, strategic staffing, organizational design and talent development. As a human resources professional, your responsibility is to help shape our company culture so that it aligns with the organization’s values and goals and is sustainable over the long term.

Essential Job Functions:

• Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and diagnose and provide solutions for continuous improvement.
• Provide strategic workforce analysis for org health, strategic staffing and capability assessments.
• Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
• Create an invigorating onboarding experience, which is on brand and inclusive of our values.
• Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
• Assist with interview scheduling and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
• Serve as a liaison with area employment agencies, colleges, and industry associations.
• Set up drug screen appointments and process employee eligibility verifications.
• Implement employee recognition programs.
• Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• College Degree in HR, Business or Psychology preferred and 3-5 years of human resource experience
• Must be a fast learner with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated attention to detail, organized and the ability to work independently
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and good problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft suite
• Workday experience a plus
• Ability to prioritize work and manage work in a time-sensitive, deadline driven environment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Protect and safeguard sensitive information
• Requires organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
