May River Recruiting is Hiring a Graphic Designer Near Bluffton, SC

A passion, coupled with direct experience in branding and communications design in the luxury sector is essential. As the Graphic Designer, you are responsible for managing and executing the overall look and feel of all digital and print collateral. A natural flair for style and elevated design is essential, and a review of your design portfolio will be required.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, & PowerPoint

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Highly organized with the ability to manage your own workflow

• Efficient, proactive, accurate, and able to work both independently and collaboratively

• Demonstrates a natural eye for visually appealing layouts

• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines

• Strong time management and organizational skills

• Creative and critical thinking abilities

• Openness to receiving feedback and creative direction both internally and externally

• Awareness of current design trends and curiosity for new techniques

• Attention to detail, including color accuracy, font consistency, and spelling

• Ability to communicate designs to suppliers and order quality products

• Understanding and adherence to brand guidelines

• Web design and basic coding knowledge is a plus

Duties:

• Report directly to the Art Director to execute 2D design and content deliverables

• Assist in the design of invitations, experience brochures, websites, live event branding, gifting, and marketing materials

• Develop basic copywriting skills to enhance content

• Support all teams with presentation design and formatting

• Actively participate in the execution of graphic design projects based on the overall team workload

• Assist in obtaining and organizing photo and video content for various communications

• Maintain company website and social media profiles with relevant and timely content

• Update company credential documents with photos and descriptions of key projects (case studies)

• Contribute to the creation of communications flow charts for customer journey mapping

• Assist in the design of event wayfinding, including informational and directional signage, flags, gifts, uniforms, etc

• Engage in direct communication with clients on event branding, wayfinding, and communication pieces

• Support in supplier sourcing and product sampling

• Develop our growing vendor database by region, specialty, etc.

• Collaborate with the production department for the proofing and ordering of print and graphic materials

• Willingness to travel up to 20%

• BFA/BS/BA in Graphic Design or equivalent experience

• Portfolio & Resume required

• 4 years as a professional graphic designer

• Must have transportation to and from work and are comfortable working within an office environment.

• Remote work options are not considered in the first 12 months
