The company is seeking an experienced Product Development Manager to oversee the organization of key projects. Working closely with the company’s Executive Vice President of Manufacturing and Product Development, the Director of Product Development, Graphic Design teammates, Production, Marketing, Warehouse, and the Client Services team. The Product Development Manager interfaces with employees from all divisions of the company, coordinates with internal departments and outside resources, interacts with clients and helps manage the development of innovative products and in the redevelopment of in-line products.
This full-time position is based in our Skokie, Illinois headquarters. This role will report to the Director of Product Development and have frequent interaction with the Executive Vice President of Manufacturing and Product Development.
Responsibilities
· Manage standards of products
· Manage creation and execution of development binders
· Organize and maintain library of supplier samples
· Some travel may be required
· Adhere to all company procedures and policies
· Work on special projects, initiatives, promotions, and other programs as needed at the direction of the Director of Product Development
· Represent the company’s best interests at all times
Qualifications
· 5 years experience in a Product Development management position (high-end interiors market experience a plus)
· BA or a BFA degree and 2 years of work experience in related field
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Adobe Creative Suite. (Experience in AutoCAD and Air Table a plus). Should be comfortable on both Mac and PC platforms.
· Ability to communicate with others effectively, both orally and in writing, in a professional manner
· Ability to self-organize and juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Able to execute and be attentive to administrative/organizational tasks as well as creative tasks.
· Capacity to work independently as well as part of a fast-paced team
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
