Position Overview

The Plating Masker I is responsible for masking parts using various types of masking tapes and techniques in accordance with customer specification and requirements.

The Plating Masker is also responsible for racking / un-racking parts and removing masking after processing. Full supervision is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Develop basic masking and masking removal techniques using various types of tapes, dots, and plugs
• Racking and un-racking parts for the plating process
• Visually inspect jobs and notify supervisor of any issues if necessary
• Adhere to company Quality and Safety standards, policies, and procedures always

Skills :

• High level attention to detail and manual dexterity is required
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate in English verbally and written
• Perform basic math skills efficiently and accurately (including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
• Ability to solve practical process or procedural problems / issues
• Critical evaluation and thinking

Work Environment :

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

• Occasionally working in high or low temperatures
• The noise level in the work environment is occasionally moderate decibels
• Occasionally works in hazardous conditions
• PPE may be required

Shift Schedules :

1st shift : 6 : 45am - 3 : 00pm

2nd Shift : 2 : 45pm - 11 : 00pm

3rd Shift : 10 : 45pm - 7 : 00am
