The Packer will perform general labor duties including packing, loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials; assist in a variety of functions with manual labor tasks, as needed; relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

• Cut-to-Length (CTL) specific packer responsibilities -Load skid into stacker and stage for production -Move skid from stacker to packing table -Apply packing material and banding to skid -Label side of skid with item description and apply label -Move finished goods to appropriate location (staging area)
  -Move stock sheets into put-away (racks)
• Slitter specific packer responsibilities -Set up slitter including guides -Print labels -Place labels on coil before pushing onto transfer arm -Spin transfer arm and flip coil -Package coils on the packing line -Cut slitter cores
• Pull/transfer coils and sheets and complete appropriate packaging per the specifications of each order
• Operate forklift as required to support manufacturing
• Load and unload will-call customers, LTL vans and flatbed trucks with forklift (includes palleted coils & sheets, load customer equipment and maintain / log all shipments)
• Count, record, and report inventory as required including but not limited to sheet, coil, and accessories
• Report defective or substandard material, supplies or products
• Maintain facility, work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized manner
• Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory
• Able to be flexible and respond to the changing needs of the organization, including working overtime as required
• Comply with all safety rules and regulations
