We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Director of Chemistry to lead our cutting- edge research efforts in the development of novel peptide-based therapeutics. As the Sr. Director of Chemistry, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction, scientific innovation, and operational excellence of our peptide chemistry programs. Your leadership will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission to revolutionize the treatment of complex diseases and improve patients' lives worldwide.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide scientific leadership and expertise in peptide chemistry, staying abreast of the latest advancements and trends in the field. Design and implement strategies for identifying and validating new peptide targets and lead candidates.
• As part of a multidisciplinary team, develop and execute the overall drug discovery strategy for peptide-based therapeutics, aligning it with the company's business objectives. Lead the translation of scientific insights into actionable drug discovery plans.
• Build and lead a highly skilled and motivated team of researchers, including medicinal chemists, and other experts. Foster a collaborative and innovative work culture, promoting individual growth and professional development within the team.
• Oversee all aspects of novel peptide chemistry projects, from target identification and validation to lead optimization. Ensure projects are progressing according to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
• Interface with peers and colleagues in non-clinical, clinical, and drug product development to create efficient plans for non-clinical testing and development of selected drug candidates. Integrate results into ongoing drug discovery efforts.
• Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with external partners, academic institutions, and contract research organizations (CROs) to access cutting-edge technologies and expand the company's expertise in peptide drug discovery.
• Contribute to the development and management of intellectual property related to peptide drug discovery, ensuring the protection of valuable discoveries and innovations.
• Work closely with the regulatory affairs team to ensure that all peptide chemistry activities adhere to relevant regulatory guidelines and requirements.
• Develop and manage the peptide chemistry budget, efficiently allocating resources to achieve key milestones and meet project objectives.
• Present research findings, project updates, and strategic plans to the executive team, board of directors, and external stakeholders.
• Effectively communicate the value and potential of the company's peptide drug discovery pipeline. Provide a vision of the company’s peptide discovery efforts with scientific organizations.

• Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related field. Experience
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a focus on peptide chemistry.
• Proven track record of participating in successful peptide drug discovery programs, resulting in the advancement of drug candidates into preclinical or clinical stages.
• Strong expertise in peptide chemistry, peptide library design, and optimization of

• Demonstrated experience in managing and leading cross-functional research teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
