High School Diploma or equivalent education
Proficiency in English
Prior experience as a paraprofessional, tutoring, or educational outreach,
especially in the context of Native American culture and language instruction, is preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Passion for working with students
Ability to adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet the diverse needs and
learning styles of students.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful learning environment.
Flexibility to work evenings as needed.
Must pass an Oklahoma Department of Education Background check.

This role involves teaching cultural classes and tutoring students to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of Indian culture, history, languages, and traditions. Responsibilities
Develop and deliver engaging cultural classes for students of various age groups,
focusing on different aspects of Native American culture such as art, dance, music, cuisine, festivals, and traditions.
Provide one-on-one or group tutoring sessions to students seeking assistance in
history, literature, or any other related subjects.
Create lessons, gather learning materials, and educational resources tailored to
the needs and proficiency levels of the students. Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board and local policy on evaluation of personnel.
