Salary Range:    $17.00 - $19.00 Hourly

Description

The primary purpose of the job is to provide exceptional customer service on inbound sales calls through processing orders and following up on inquiries.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities(additional duties may be assigned)

  • Answer inbound customer service / sales calls and provide information as requested as well as place orders.
    • Provide pricing and availability.
    • Issue formal quotes.
    • Write orders.
    • Liaise with Tech Sales and Purchasing departments to have vendor POs issued as needed.
    • Liaise with Operations Team regarding delivery schedules.
  • Respond to customer service / sales leads via email as part of multiple Distribution groups and communicate with other people in same groups to ensure no order gets missed.
  • Provide product support to customers and fellow McCann associates.
    • Provide product data sheets via email to customers.
    • Use internet research skills to match a stocking product to a customer’s request.
    • Escalate more advanced technical inquiries to the proper channels.
  • Work in tandem with Tech Sales Reps and Account Managers to build relationships and fulfill customer needs.
    • Provide concierge customer service to top accounts.
    • Utilize CRM to document opportunities and activities.
    • Request customer price matrices be created as needed.

Qualifications


  • 1-2 years in customer service or equivalent combination of relevant educational/service experience reflecting customer service aptitude.
  • Strong technology skills (ability to learn new software, conduct internet searches, typing, trouble-shooting minor IT issues).
  • Basic arithmetic/geometry skills.
  • Strong problem-solving.
  • Ability to read product data sheets, locate and communicate relevant data to others(e.g. uses, application, coverage, limitations).
  • Ability to communicate professionally on the phone and by email.
  • Emotional intelligence: able to deal with frustrated, confused, or impatient customers; empathize; listen well.

Physical Requirements:  Regularly required to sit; occasionally required to stand; walk; occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; noise level is usually quiet.
