Light Line Technician

McCarthy Chevrolet- Olathe is seeking a skilled Automotive Light Line Technician with specialized experience in General Motors vehicles to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining GM vehicles, ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on General Motors vehicles, including electrical systems, engine components, brakes, suspension, and more.
• Utilize manufacturer-specific diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve technical issues accurately and efficiently.
• Follow repair and service procedures outlined by General Motors, ensuring compliance with warranty and service bulletin requirements.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle issues, recommended repairs, and estimated completion times.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential safety hazards and maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly handled and stored.
• Stay updated on industry trends, GM technologies, and advancements in automotive repair techniques through training and continuing education.
• Uphold dealership and manufacturer standards for quality and customer service, striving to exceed expectations in every interaction.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (3-5 years) as an Automotive Technician with specialization in General Motors vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency with GM-specific diagnostic tools and software.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic charts.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in diagnosis and repair.
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with team members and customers.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• ASE certifications (preferred but not required).
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development.
