We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager for large scale concrete projects and heavy civil work. You will grow our current market and assist in our expansion into new markets and regions. Projects will range from industrial, commercial, municipal, structural repair, bridgework, and more.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution
  • Serve as an effective bridge between clients and the associated project teams
  • Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other project documents
  • Oversee project goals and expectations. Keep projects on track and manage the construction schedule to ensure timely delivery
  • Manage customer expectations and requirements, ensuring a smooth and successful project experience
  • Work closely with company estimators and collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project success
  • Communicate effectively and guide all stakeholders and team members through all phases of the construction process.
  • Mitigate risks, monitor project progress, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect work quality, safety compliance, and progress
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts and change order negotiation & execution
  • Maintain effective lines of communication with project site team and senior management
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Provide strong leadership to project teams
  • Provide project fiscal oversight, invoicing approval
  • Proactively resolving issues as they arise and/or pulling in appropriate parties to make effective resolution decisions

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Practical and applied knowledge of construction project management, solid experience in field construction management; a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 years of construction management experience or proven experience as a construction project manager or similar role
  • Strong background in commercial construction with proficient knowledge of construction processes, materials, equipment, and methods
  • Strong background in project coordination, blueprint/plan reading, and utilization of project management software
  • OSHA 10 certification

PREFERRED

  • Bachelor's degree in a construction related field or equivalent combinations of technical training & experience
  • Proficiency with at least one industry standard project management software
  • Experience in heavy civil construction, large scale project management
  • Experience with concrete construction

SUCCESS SKILLS

  • Strong practical experience with project management
  • Practical knowledge, proficient computer skills working with project management software, MS Office, and Teams
  • Strong knowledge of all construction trades, construction processes, materials, and methods
  • Familiarity with design/build and value engineering
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining budget, schedule, quality and safety
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
