McCrea Equipment Company is looking for a dedicated and skilled Delivery Driver/Warehouse Helper to join our team. This role offers a blend of transportation and warehouse duties, making it perfect for those who enjoy variety in their workday. If you have a strong understanding of traffic laws, excellent defensive driving skills, and can maintain effective relationships with colleagues and clients, we want to hear from you!

Duties:

Driving:

• Safely deliver goods to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
• Plan routes to optimize time and fuel efficiency.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and ensure vehicle cleanliness.
• Adhere to safety and security standards, removing any dashboard obstructions to maintain a clear vision.
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Warehouse:

• Efficiently manage inventory to keep the warehouse organized.
• Safely assist in loading and unloading trucks to ensure smooth operations.
• Operate a forklift to move materials throughout the warehouse.
• Keep the warehouse clean and orderly, maintaining a safe work environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions; capable of lifting and carrying up to 100 lbs.
• Good physical mobility to navigate both driving and warehouse tasks.
• Able to safely handle sharp objects and maintain a clear range of vision while driving.
• Must pass a drug test, background screening, and all medical evaluations required for DOT certification.
• Ability to safely drive various vehicles and operate listed tools and equipment.

License Requirements:

• Valid DOT certification or ability to obtain a valid DOT certification; ability to pass all medical evaluations relevant to the required Department of Transportation certification.
• Ability to pass drug test.

Additional Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• One (1) year of relevant experience in driving, warehousing, or a related field is preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to read and comprehend written directions or road maps.
