If so this Assistant Project Manager position may be for you. McDonald Electrical Corp is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our continuously growing company. This Assistant Project Manager will be an essential part of our management team, supporting the successful execution of commercial electrical construction projects. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with Project Managers, gaining valuable experience and contributing to the overall project success.

- Perform required tasks associated with the various McDonald Electrical Corporations project management tools and programs.
- Understand project scope including plans and specifications, vendor submittals, schedule, budgets, and sequence of work. Assist other members of the Project Management team as needed to ensure projects meet scope requirements and schedule.
- Attend project meetings when required and record meeting notes as applicable.
- Attend job and bid walk-throughs for projects as required.
- Identify labor requirements and related issues, as well as cost impacts or delays including other trade predecessors and working out of sequence
- Track materials required from suppliers and vendors to ensure product is in-hand prior to being needed on the job site, ensuring maximum job-site productivity
- Track and manage project costs, labor plans and forecast projects’ cost to completes accurately
- Generate RFI’s on projects when applicable
- Generate, track and log project change requests and orders on projects
- Leverage prefab opportunities and project foremen in ensuring all materials required for prefab tasks are in hand prior to scheduling assemblies
- Assist in the scheduling/logistics of site deliveries with the Prefab. Manager, Foreman and Warehouse Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in fast paced environment while maintaining a sense of urgency
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively while still being able to follow through on commitments
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
