**POSITION SUMMARY**
This is an opportunity for an experienced salesperson who is currently engaged in the motion control, instrumentation, industrial products, and complete analytical systems. You will continue to be engaged in the dynamics of the ever-changing world of the industrial marketplace. This position requires individuals who are motivated by assisting customers and building and growing relationships.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES**
* Provides strategic recommendations, pricing, and customized solutions for products and services to meet individual customer needs
* Prepares product and service quotations and proposes to potential customers
* Negotiates terms, and closes transactions
* Initiates sales calls, with customers in industrial applications of all kinds, and delivers presentations highlighting features and benefits of recommended solutions
* Develops and maintains successful long-term customer relationships
* Researches local markets to identify sales opportunities and competitors
* Builds rapport with customer base, & develops an understanding of customers' core business profit drivers
* Performs other related duties and progress reporting as assigned
**REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES**
* Education: Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university preferred
* Minimum of 7 years of successful Outside Sales, Key Account, Business Development experience in the industrial or MRO marketplace calling on large and mid-market accounts.
* Experience selling to all levels of an organization from their front-line employees through their management teams.
* Candidates must possess a high level of motivation, planning and negotiation skills.
* Strong understanding of the products that supply the Industrial and MRO marketplace.
* Candidates should have customer relationships within their assigned account base area.
* Experience with closing project/program agreements and VMI sales programs.
* The ability to adhere to and fully support all company policies and procedures including all Sales and Marketing programs.
