Location: Fort Dix, New Jersey (Hybrid 50/50)

About the Role:We are currently seeking an experienced GIS/CADD Specialist to join our growing Asset Management team. This role serves a multi-consultant office program which will be based on work primarily for Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey. As part of our Asset Management team, the GIS/CADD Specialist will be responsible for providing GIS Technical support. Due to the Installation’s size and current needs to update their GIS systems with as-built drawings and other improvements, experience and expertise is needed in supporting DoD GIS systems. This position will be integrated both on site and remotely into the Installation’s GIS working level processes, with a strong focus on capturing data, documenting, consulting, proposing solutions, and providing general assistance as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphic representations of spatial data and/or engineering designs for data integrity and plan sets.
  • Assist in the collection of data through field work, documentation analysis, and data verification throughout focused datasets.
  • Provide asset management recommendations using the latest industry practices and standards.
  • Perform data analysis and reports with ArcGIS’ line of products and migrate into the Air Force’s current SDSFIE schema.
  • Manage highly accurate datasets for immediate integration into the Installation’s geodatabase.
  • Maintaining a clear line of communication with the Government GIs Lead to ensue QA/QC and process success.
  • As needed support design teams with AutoCAD support.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in planning, Geography, Engineering, or Landscape Architecture is required (or in a related field with three (4 ) years of relevant experience.)
  • Experience with ESRI’s ArcPro and associated suite of products.
  • Knowledge and experience of the Air Force’s AFCEC Program and its associated GeoBase Quality Assurance Plan for QA/QC desired, but not required.
  • 4 years of GIS experience preferred.
  • Knowledge & experience of CADD systems (i.e. AutoCAD, MicroStation)
  • Experience in reading engineering, architectural, and construction documents (i.e., maps, drawings, technical specifications, etc.) preferred.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work diligently to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask and communicate status and progress effectively.
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential documents and information.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong communication, organizational and time management skills. Attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and detail oriented.
