Job description
McGivney, Kluger, Clark & Intoccia, P.C. is seeking a motivated and detailed oriented Associate Attorney to join our esteemed law firm in Hartford, Connecticut.
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in legal practice and possess strong analytical, research, and writing skills. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior attorney looking to advance their career in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
*Salary Commensurate with Experience
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal matters.
- Draft, review, and edit legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery.
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Assist senior attorneys with case preparation and strategy development.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
- Maintain case files and ensure all documentation is properly organized.
- Stay current with changes in laws and regulations relevant to our practice areas.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut.
- Admitted to practice in Massachusetts a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in legal practice preferably in general liability defense.
- Superior analytical skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
