The Job:

MKCI is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic Mass Torts Litigation team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in litigation and a strong understanding of legal procedures and documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and trial.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and subpoenas.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
  • Organize and maintain case files, documents, and medical records.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts.
  • Prepare deposition and trial exhibits.
  • Billing for time.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience managing a large case load and cases involving numerous defendants or multi-district litigation where numerous counsel are involved in the defense of the same client
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a litigation paralegal
  • Paralegal certification or degree in paralegal studies is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation processes and legal documentation.
  • Proficient in legal research and legal software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with others.
  • Collaboration with team members is an important component of any role at MKCI Therefore, the firm requires working from the office approximately 60% of the time in accordance with the firm’s guidelines.
