About the Role:

As a Financial Analyst at McGohan Brabender, you will play a pivotal role in providing analysis and strategic insights to support our clients in making informed decisions related to their employee benefits programs. Your expertise will be vital in assisting clients in optimizing their financial outcomes and ensuring the long-term success of their benefits packages.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Modeling: Create, maintain, and update financial models to analyze the costs and benefits of employee benefits packages, including health insurance and other ancillary benefits.

2. Cost/Data Analysis: Evaluate the financial impact of various benefit plan designs, contributions, and funding strategies to help clients control costs and maximize value. Analyze historical and current benefits data to identify trends, cost drivers, and opportunities for cost containment or improvement.

3. Forecasting: Develop financial forecasts and projections to assist clients in budgeting and long-term strategic planning for their employee benefits programs.

4. Risk Assessment: Assess the financial risks associated with benefit plan changes.

5. Client Engagement: Collaborate with account management teams to communicate complex financial information in a clear and understandable manner to clients.

6. Report Generation: Prepare comprehensive financial reports using Excel and deliver them to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field preferred.
  • Industry/related field experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with financial data, spreadsheets, and software tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Clear, concise, and responsive communicator via email
  • Knowledge of employee benefits and insurance is beneficial but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
