Senior Accountant

Location
Corporate office is located in Orlando FL (UCF Area). The Senior Accountant will operate from the Orlando office with the opportunity for hybrid position after 6 months.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant The position reports directly to the Director of Finance and will be responsible for:
- The Senior Accountant will prepare financial statements
- Analyze, reconcile and follow-up on monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages.
- The Senior Accountant will participate in month and year end closings.
- Account for prepaid expenses and accruals, including the preparation of amortization schedules.
- Prepare and analyze monthly budget to actual variances for functional departments.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules for accounting and tax purposes.
- Cash and indirect cost forecasting.
- Prepare and file monthly/quarterly sales/excise tax returns
Preferred Qualifications of the Senior Accountant
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and 3 years of experience
- Understanding of government compliance
- Independent/flexible problem-solver with the ability to adapt as the business grows.
- Ability to review sales and use tax
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of management
