Family Law Legal Secretary / Paralegal

Essential Functions:

Requires professionalism, attention to detail, technical savvy and ability to handle multiple priorities and work in an organized, efficient manner at any given time. This role also requires extensive coordination with professionals and clients.

Skills and Competencies:

• Qualified candidates should have at least 3 years' experience in a law firm or legal environment.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including document management and other office technologies.
• Experience with e-filing in New Jersey.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Ability to work in an organized, efficient manner.
• Ability to work well independently and also be a team player.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Deadline and detail oriented.

Responsibilities:

• Manage case files and detailed paperwork within electronic file system.
• Assist lawyers using legal software and in house database.
• Communicate with clients.
• Assist attorney for preparation of meetings.
• Managing and coordinating the schedule for meetings.
• Transcribe dictation tapes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
