Job SummaryThe TAB Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring McKenney’s projects are delivered with the highest quality in both managerial execution and customer service. This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and overseeing all aspects of Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) activities across multiple projects, ensuring tasks are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, project management, and the TAB process, including airflow, hydronic systems, and environmental controls. They will work closely with TAB technicians, engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and clients to align project goals, manage timelines, and coordinate resources. The TAB Project Coordinator will also ensure that all required documentation and reports are accurately prepared and submitted. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Budget Compliance: Complete projects on-time, and within budget. Accurately track change orders
Project Closeout: Ensure projects and reports are completed on-time consistently
Accounts Receivable Management: Ensure outstanding invoices are resolved and collected in a timely manner. Prevent outstanding receivables over 90 days past due
Duties & Essential Job Functions
Project Planning and Coordination: Plan, schedule, and oversee TAB activities including technician schedules for multiple projects, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and within budget
Estimating: Generate dependable, consistent estimates and provide to customers in a timely manner
Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, TAB technicians, project managers, engineers, and subcontractors, providing regular updates and aligning project goals and schedules
Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of TAB work to ensure compliance with industry standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements
Documentation: Manage project documentation, including test reports, adjustment records, and balancing logs, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
Problem-Solving: Analyze test results to identify any performance issues or deviations from specifications
Budget Management: Assist in managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective use of resources
Safety Compliance: Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies
Be a Lifelong Learner: Complete all continuing education as required by collective bargaining agreement and McKenney's
Basic Qualifications
A college degree and at least 1 year experience in the TAB industry OR A high school diploma or GED and at least 5 years’ experience in the TAB industry
Proficient with Microsoft Windows computer environment
Proficient with Salesforce software
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC Technology, or a related field preferred
3-5 years of experience in HVAC, mechanical systems, or a related field, with specific experience in TAB projects highly preferred
TAB-related certifications (such as NEBB, AABC, or TABB)

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT
Most work will be performed in an office environment
Work may involve moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises
Work environment may involve exposure to construction, mechanical and electrical-related hazards or physical risks, which require the following basic safety precautions and 7 Safety Absolutes
Work requires local and occasional out-of-town travel to job sites and customer locations
Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and scaffolds and to negotiate work areas under construction
