Job Summary:
Brickstones at Embassy Suites by Hilton Knoxville Downtown is seeking a skilled and experienced Hotel Cook to join our team. This individual will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious and visually appealing meals for our guests, while ensuring high-quality and efficient food service in our hotel restaurant. This is a full-time, hourly position in the hospitality/restaurant industry, located in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, hourly position with a competitive hourly rate of $15 per hour. In addition to an attractive hourly rate, this position offers bi-weekly pay and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment. Responsibilities:
•Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, using high-quality and fresh ingredients
•Ensure all food items are prepared and presented according to hotel standards and guest preferences
•Follow proper food handling and safety procedures, including maintaining sanitary and clean work areas
•Assist in ordering and stocking food inventory to ensure smooth and efficient operation in the kitchen
•Work effectively and efficiently in a team setting, communicating with other kitchen staff members to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals
•Adapt to changing customer demands and special requests while maintaining high levels of quality and customer satisfaction
•Comply with company policies, procedures, and health codes at all times
Requirements:
•At least 2 years of experience as a cook in a hotel or restaurant setting
•Knowledge of different cooking techniques, flavors, and textures
•Understanding of food safety and sanitation principles
•Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
•Excellent communication and teamwork skills
•Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
•High school diploma or equivalent preferred
•Culinary degree or related training/certification preferred
