Your Mission: As a Press Operator, you will: Set up and operate multi-color offset presses, ensuring precise color and registration requirements, performing make-ready tasks, examining for imperfections, and making color corrections to meet quality standards. Review job specifications to determine press setup based on imposition requirements, ensuring the printing of single-color, two-color, and multi-color work, including large solids, screen tints, line, and halftones with critical color values and registration. Prior to production runs, make precise color corrections and press adjustments to meet and maintain specified quality standards. Maintain and clean the press, performing minor repairs and parts replacements as needed. Execute periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer to ensure press reliability, and keep meticulous records of press setup, maintenance activities, and production data. Provide leadership within the press team, offering guidance, support, and collaborating with supervisors to optimize production efficiency and address issues. With your press knowledge and machinery insight, or related vocational training, skills, and/or experience in color management, computer literacy, troubleshooting, and safety protocols, your expertise will be valued, recognized, and rewarded. Additional Qualifications: Highschool graduate or equivalent Knowledge of printing procedures, computer software, materials, equipment, safety requirements, and skills to perform assignments (preferred) Must have the ability to work at a high level, fast-paced environment while maintaining focus, attention to detail, and quick decision making.
