Title: Mental Health Trainer Task Force
Position Type
  • Certified – Extra Work Assignment/Task Force
  • Members of this task force will deliver mental health training that includes the signs and symptoms of suicidal behavior to Unit 5 staff.
Location: Unit Office
Qualifications/ Desired Applicants
  • Representations from all levels (early learning, elementary, junior high school, and high school)
  • School Psychologists
  • School Social Workers
  • School Counselors
  • Nurses
  • Family Coordinators
  • Home Interventionists
  • LBS-1
  • Other Certified Staff with relevant experience and knowledge of SEL, mental health
Reports to: Director of Diversity, Equity, and InclusionTask Force Responsibilities
  • Develop District-wide training on signs and symptoms of suicidal behavior, non-suicidal self-injury, and staff response (training prepared by Aug 1, 2024) to address the following policy 7.290
  • Plan Training of Trainers (help the members of the trainers' task force prepare to deliver the training)
  • Plan training sequence for Mental Health First Aid district-wide rollout
