Job Details DescriptionMCMENAMINS PUB MANAGER TITLE: Pub Manager REPORTS TO: District Manager FLSA CLASS: Salaried Exempt The job duties described below are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of this position. All employees may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed. Description Of The PositionThe Pub Manager is responsible for the effective operations of the Pub. Duties include, but are not limited to: interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising staff; ordering supplies; scheduling; payroll; employee evaluations; conducting and calculating inventory; cleanliness; ensure food and drinks are served quickly and efficiently; handle customer complaints; managing labor and departmental costs; conduct regular staff meetings; manage employee files; general filing and administrative duties; and policy enforcement. The pub manager also works in conjunction with Kitchen Management in maintaining quality and attractive presentation of food/beverage product and managing product costs. An important aspect of this position is attending to customer needs and maintaining customer relations. To meet this end, the pub manager must consistently communicate pertinent information to staff, customers, and train employees on the finer points of customer service. Above all this position requires a positive attitude and dedication to providing excellent customer service. Each McMenamin employee will be expected to perform their job in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to Management. All employees will also be expected to keep current on all company events, history, and products. Other duties are to be completed as assigned by the General Manager and/or District Manager. Requirements Of The Job
Previous Management experience in a food service environment required
Obtain and maintain current food handlers and OLCC/WA liquor license
Ability to accurately handle cash and work with numbers
Computer knowledge including, POS systems, Excel, Word, Outlook and social media platforms
Excellent supervisory, customer service & communication skills
Work the hours necessary to complete the job, including a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
Ability to respond to alarm calls and answer pub related phone calls in a timely manner
Ability to remain calm and focused in a high volume, deadline oriented work environment
Essential Functions Of The Job
Effectively manage all pub operations
Safely practice frequent heavy lifting and carrying with the help of another person if necessary
Must have a value for diversity and the ability to work with individuals from different backgrounds
Work on feet for long periods including standing, walking and infrequent stair climbing both indoors and outdoors
Fine hand manipulation including writing, typing, cash handling, picking up small and large items, etc.
Repetitive movement such as pushing, pulling, bending, some stooping and twisting
Work with numbers, handle and count money, and work on a computer terminal
Communicate clearly and effectively manage employees
Be positive, polite and cooperative with co-workers, managers, vendors, and customers.
Handle complaints in a professional and positive manner
Work with sharp objects, including knives; chemicals used in cleaning and sanitizing.
Work quickly and efficiently while adhering to timelines
Work independently and as a member of a team
Organize and analyze information quickly
