Job Title: Systems and Network Analyst (12 Month Work Calendar)Salary Range: Classified Salary Schedule - Network Analyst ($79,684 - $107,265 annually)
Reports to: IT DirectorPlease note that this position is 260 days (12 months) with 10 paid holidays, paid sick leave and paid flexible personal leave (3 days per year). If hired after the start of the school year, days and leave are pro-rated. The McMinnville School District provides generous personal and family benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage.Job SummaryWorks in partnership with other members of the IT team to provide design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot the District’s network, systems, and security infrastructure. Is an expert in their assigned responsibilities and is able to work on multiple projects with minimal direction and supervision.Essential Job Functions
  • Works in partnership with other Systems and Network analysts to install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, upgrade, and troubleshoot the district’s IT infrastructure, including but not limited to - servers, storage, wired and wireless networks, voice systems, electronic security systems, and access controls systems.
  • Provides Tier 2 support to Help Desk positions to respond to IT infrastructure and other relevant issues.
  • Receive and respond to incoming calls, emails, alerts or other communications regarding IT infrastructure systems.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Department on physical security and technology support for security projects and initiatives.
  • Troubleshoots network and server connectivity problems, including monitoring the network and servers for problems, diagnosing problems, and taking the appropriate corrective measures to ensure an expedient resolution.
  • Coordinate, schedule and perform server maintenance, patching, and management activities.
  • Monitor server and network performance, storage and logs; and create and maintain documentation for network and servers
  • Assist the IT Director with analysis and development of plans for client device replacement cycles, technology updates, and large scale infrastructure projects.
  • Assist the IT Director with developing and implementing Cyber Security measures and disaster recovery plans.
  • Remain current on existing and emerging technologies.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of District technical standards for networking and computing systems.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in professional development activities.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of the District’s technology plan.
  • Assists in determining technical training needs of staff and provides necessary training to staff members.
  • Assists with the determination of the feasibility of technology projects and advises the staff on the expenditure of funds to support such projects.
  • Coordinates with others in the implementation of technology projects working with vendors to assure that equipment and services are delivered as required.
  • Responsible for being familiar with the school/district policies and procedures that govern the work.
  • Prompt and regular attendance is required.
