Local Nashville company is looking for a CNC Mill and Lathe Machinist who can program the machines and lead the team.
Haas CNC Mill & Lathe experience required.
Programming experience required.
Must be able to manually manipulate CNC code.
Candidate needs to be process oriented and efficient. Must be able to read blueprints.
Position open for 1st shift--6AM to 2:30PM. Some overtime may be mandatory.
Immediate opening available.
Must be self motivated, goal oriented and able to work without constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

· Review blueprints, drawings, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequences, and set up of parts.

· Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.

· Selects, aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachment accessories and materials or machines such as mill lathes, jig borers, grinders and shapers.

· Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth or angle of cut, and other factors which affect the machining process.

· Starts and observes machine operation and to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining, and edits machine controls or control media as required.

· Verifies conformance of finish work piece to specifications.

· Sets up and operates machine without aid or supervision (two weeks of training will be provide, so you can learn the machine particulars).

· Able to edit and write simple CNC programs.

· Familiar with statistical process control and maintain run charts.
