Assistant Director, Major Gifts

Houston, TX

Our client, a nationally recognized healthcare organization, is searching for a new Assistant Director, Major Gifts to join their development team. This role will oversee a portfolio of individual donors as well as numerous development responsibilities for the organization including leading fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Cultivate, solicit and steward current and prospective major gift donors (individuals, corporations and foundations) in a robust major gift portfolio in order to achieve fundraising goals.
• Manage a team of major gift officers, guiding the team to achieve annual and campaign goals.
• Curate donor-centric proposals and reports, as well as drafting and editing fundraising materials distributed to donors.
• Collaborate with the Vice President of Development to plan the organization's fund development strategy, Capital Campaign directing, assisting with goal setting, budget development and planning.
• Manage the program budget, ensuring agency finance protocols and policies are practiced.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Five years of experience in fund development, grant writing and/or sales and marketing
• Three years supervisory experience
• Self-motivated, organized, fair and confidential
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
