Durango Colorado CPA firm seeks full time accountant/admin assistant. Strong people skills, QuickBooks proficiency, and ability work independently while managing multiple responsibilities are required.

Tax preparation experience or familiarity with loan and property title processing would be a plus, although we’re willing to train the right person.

Job duties include preparing monthly bookkeeping for local clients, servicing loans and processing payments for an escrow company, frequently interacting with clients in writing, on the phone, and in the office, keeping orderly client records, and possibly preparing tax returns.

Must be available to work M-F regular business hours plus overtime in tax season in the office in downtown Durango. Pay range is $22-30/hr depending on skills and experience, with opportunity for significant advancement.
