Meati Inc. is Hiring an Electrical Controls Site Lead Near Thornton, CO

The Role:The Electrical Controls Site Lead will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of electrical control systems within the food manufacturing plant. This role involves ensuring that all control systems are compliant with industry standards, enhancing plant performance, and supporting the production process to achieve maximum efficiency and reliability.
Responsibilities:
    • Leadership and Supervision:
      • Lead, mentor, and manage the electrical controls team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
      • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team.
      • Coordinate with other departments to align electrical controls projects with overall plant objectives.
    • System Design and Implementation:
      • Design and develop electrical control systems for new and existing equipment.
      • Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of control systems, ensuring they meet specifications and operational requirements.
      • Collaborate with project engineers and contractors to ensure successful project execution.
    • Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
      • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for electrical control systems.
      • Diagnose and resolve electrical control system issues promptly to minimize downtime.
      • Maintain accurate documentation of control systems, including schematics, manuals, and maintenance logs.
    • Compliance and Safety:
      • Ensure all electrical control systems comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
      • Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance and identify areas for improvement.
      • Promote a culture of safety within the team and the plant.
    • Continuous Improvement:
      • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements through the use of advanced control technologies.
      • Lead initiatives for upgrading and modernizing control systems to enhance plant performance.
      • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical controls and automation.
    • Project Management:
      • Manage control system projects from conception through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
      • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against these benchmarks.
      • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary equipment and materials.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical controls engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming, HMI design, SCADA systems, and industrial networking.
  • Proficiency in using electrical design software and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Effective communication and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Certification in PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Knowledge of robotic systems and advanced automation technologies.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
Compensation: The base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 annually, which is just one aspect of our total compensation package. In addition to the salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus and equity! Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
