Job Brief

Our team is looking for a motivated laborer to perform various manual tasks to prepare job sites and aid daily operations in support of our various construction projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. Core Areas of Responsibility.

Site Preparation and Cleanup:

• Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, setting up necessary materials and equipment.
• Ensure the worksite remains clean and organized throughout the project.

Material Handling:

• Load, unload, and transport construction materials to the appropriate locations.
• Maintain inventory of materials and ensure they are stored properly.

Equipment Operation:

• Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools, as well as small machinery (e.g., jackhammers, drills).
• Assist with the operation and maintenance of larger construction equipment under supervision.

Concrete Work:

• Mix, pour, and spread concrete.
• Support carpenters in building and setting up various types of concrete forms, ensuring they are properly aligned and secure.

Mechanical Systems:

• Assist pipefitters with the installation, assembly, and maintenance of piping systems.
• Support pipe layers in preparing trenches, laying pipes, and connecting pipelines.

Demolition:

• Participate in demolition activities, including breaking down structures, removing materials, and disposing of waste safely.

Assisting Skilled Tradespeople:

• Provide support to carpenters, pipefitters, pipelayers, equipment operators, and other skilled trades professionals as needed.
• Follow instructions and work collaboratively to ensure project goals are met.

Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Report any unsafe conditions or practices to the site supervisor immediately.

Skills You Possess.

• Previous construction experience or a strong desire to work in the industry.
• Able to perform manual labor in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting (in excess of 50 lbs.) for an 8 to 10-hour workday.
• The ability to comprehend and follow specific instructions.
• Interpersonal competencies that include a drive for results, effective oral communication skills, organization, planning, trust, respect, dependability and cooperation.
• Good housekeeping standards and ability to observe safety procedures and report any potentially unsafe conditions to management.

Requirements.

• 18 years of Age
• Able to Pass a Drug Test
• Legally Eligible to Work in the US
• If assigned to a government project, US citizenship and clear background check may be required.

Additional Requirements for Craftworkers.

• Must have own transportation to and from jobsite every workday (driver's license not required)
