Mechanical Resource Group, an HVAC, hydronics, sales, and service organization, is seeking a Boiler Technician. The Boiler Technician role is responsible for startup service, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs for commercial packaged boilers – high and low-pressure steam vessels and hot water boilers.

Skills:

· 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting boiler service issues or at least 3 years of experience performing boiler maintenance on your own for a company.

· Extensive experience with industrial steam, combustion, common combustion control systems,

· Should have working knowledge of 1 million BTU and up

· Good analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret plans and manuals.

· Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.

· Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time.

· Strong problem solving and communication skills, both oral and written.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Maintain and repair boiler systems for commercial customers. Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.

· Travel to job sites in service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customers.

· Startup installed boilers and adjust to the manufacturer’s and job’s specification.

· Perform required documentation for each call, recording recommendations, repairs, accurate readings, and observations. Have customer sign necessary paperwork.

· Ability to make ethical and responsible decisions while keeping the customer and our company interests in mind.

· Provide sales personnel with qualified leads and opportunities.

Requirements:

· Must possess a valid Tennessee State driver’s license and a safe driving record and be able and willing to operate company-owned vehicles.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, crawl, and sit. May be required to work in restricted spaces. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and greater than 60 pounds using appropriate equipment.

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
