About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Perioperative Services with an RN background to oversee the clinical and administrative functions of the Perioperative Services department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, effective patient care and the efficient use of labor and non-labor resources. This role involves directing the development of departmental goals, establishing integrated philosophies and practices, and implementing policies and standards for patient services. The VP will also be involved in budget management, staff development, and will act as a liaison with medical staff and other departments.Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, a Master's degree in a related field, and a current NYS RN license. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant clinical area, including at least 3 years' supervisory experience in the operating room, is required. Experience in an organized labor union environment is preferred. The role demands strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, as well as proficiency in information systems. The VP will work with the leadership team to develop and monitor nursing standards, engage in quality improvement activities, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
