Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietitian to join our healthcare team in Richmond, IN. The Dietitian will be responsible for providing expert nutritional guidance and support to patients, helping them to achieve their health goals and manage various dietary needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' nutritional and health needs through evaluations and consultations.
- Develop personalized meal and nutrition plans based on individual health goals, conditions, and preferences.
- Educate patients and their families on healthy eating habits, nutritional practices, and dietary modifications.
- Monitor and track patient progress, adjusting nutrition plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to integrate dietary plans into overall treatment strategies.
- Stay updated on the latest research and developments in nutrition and dietetics.
- Provide group education sessions or workshops on various nutritional topics.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required.
- State licensure or certification as required in Indiana.
- Strong understanding of nutritional science and dietary guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a clinical or community setting.
- Familiarity with various dietary needs and health conditions.
- Ability to develop and present educational materials effectively.
