Title: Cybersecurity Analyst - Biomed
Location: Salt Lake City, UT – remote with travel
Duration: 3-month contract
Job Summary:
The incumbent will analyze biomedical equipment security systems in 5 newly acquired hospitals in UT alongside a team of 5 total analyst. This cybersecurity analyst will have a deep knowledge of biomedical equipment in order to report on possible threats or software issues as the project team moves from assessment through remediation of the device network.
They will work closely with the team including cybersecurity leadership, project manager, policy analyst, and PEN tester to ensure clear lines of communication and efficiency. The analyst will possess the technical skills to conduct device research, vulnerability reporting, risk assessment, and remediation of identified issues. This individual will be a self-starter with the ability to solve complex problems and have experience with hardware/software analysis.
Job Experience:
· Experience assessing biomed device security
· Strong understanding of pertinent logs that can aid in detecting threats.
· Experience with vulnerability assessment
· A strong understanding of types of cyber-attack on biomed equipment
· Understanding of threat modeling.
· Experience with software/hardware analysis.
· A strong understanding of emerging threats and ability to demonstrate knowledge of security research.
· Ability to adjust and adapt in a fast pace and dynamic environment.
· Ability to communicate technical problems, vulnerability, and risk into a business context understood by leadership at all levels.
· Ability to make sound decisions and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
· Demonstrate strong composure with a balance of urgency and intensity, as well as focus.
· Possess the desire to grow both technically and professionally in the information security field.
· Experience developing best practices and security standards.
· Ability to perform and/or analyze vulnerability scanning and penetration assessments.
Must Haves:
Bachelor’s Degree
3 years of experience in cybersecurity
3 years' experience in biomedical equipment
Desired:
· CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor).
· Comp TIA CySA (Cybersecurity Analyst).
· CISSA certification
