Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize Epic, our electronic health record system, to access and retrieve patient records.
• Burn said records onto CDs depending on the requests team receives and prepare them to be sent out.
• Review provided lists containing patient information, required results, date ranges, and provider details.
• Efficiently and accurately prepare and medical records to be sent out.
• Adhere to established protocols and guidelines for releasing patient information, ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA).
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all medical records and associated data.
• Collaborate with the project team to address any challenges or issues that may arise during the faxing process.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of all faxed records and related communications.
• Attend training sessions and follow project instructions to ensure consistent and error-free performance.
• Provide regular updates on project progress and communicate any concerns or questions to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare-related education is a plus.
• Previous experience working with Epic Release of Information is highly desirable.
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling sensitive patient information.
• Strong organizational skills to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow established protocols.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare privacy laws (HIPAA).
• Willingness to undergo project-specific training and follow project instructions diligently.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to meet project deadlines.
