Media Fusion is looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a vital Department of Homeland Security client. The SME will have expertise in past and present counter-IED policies. The CounterIED Policy SME shall also have expertise in the development of intra and interagency plans, preparedness, and planning guidance at the National level.

• US Citizenship (required as part of client contract requirement) and possession of a Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or related fields (master’s degree preferred)
• At least 10 years of demonstrated experience as a counter-IED SME
• At least 10 years of experience providing strategic, technical, or communications guidance to clients, notably in the Department of Homeland Security space
• Experience supporting senior-level Federal civilian clients, preferably within the Department of Homeland Security or DOD offices
• Excellent analytical and proven problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Superior verbal, written, organizational, and time management skills, as well as attention to detail
• Must be a subject matter expert in past and present Counter-IED policies. The CounterIED Policy SME shall also have expertise in the development of intra and interagency plans, preparedness, and planning guidance at the National level.
• Department of Defense (DOD) Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal Graduate (Navscoleod), and Awarded Master Explosive Ordnance Disposal Badge by respective DoD service, and Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University.

to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer.

To visit other company sites, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle and fly in an aircraft, both of which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time. Employees must possess vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. This position requires an employee to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance; reach, push, and pull drawers and doors open and closed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
