Terms of Employment :

Nine (9) months, academic school year

Hours :

5 hrs / day, Monday through Friday, when school is in session

Education :

Associates (or higher) degree (attach transcript in attachment section) or completion of two years (48 semester hours) at an institution of higher education.

Qualifications :

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following :

Assist the library / media specialist with library activities.Assist the library / media specialist with clerical duties.

Work with students individually or in groups.Assist teachers and staff with materials, media, and research.Order and distribute instructional materials.

Assist the library media specialist with collection maintenance.Assist patrons with the use of media and technology.Perform responsibilities as assigned by the library / media specialist or building principal.

Work Environment and Physical Demands :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk and stand. Lift sixty (60) lbs.

occasionally, with the ability to reach, stand, walk, carry, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit, and / or crawl. The ability to hear and see in order to communicate effectively as well as communicate clearly and concisely.
